A Habitat in Your Own Backyard
Creating a habitat for wildlife is so simple you can do it in your
own backyard. All you need to start them are a few things to
supply the wildlife with, such like shelter, water and food.
THis can be achieved by choosing the proper trees and shrubs
for your area that they will provide birds and mammals with
both food and shelter. Many birds and animals also
depend on flowers for nectar, so be sure to have a wide
variety of flowers. The type of plants you use will depend on
the each type of wildlife in hour area nad what food sources
they need. As for the water you will be need, digging small
hole in the ground and filling it with water is sufficient for
the most wildlife. You can also put up birdbath, which
can be bought at most garden shops. Butterflies like being
around mud holes, so make a mess in a corner if ou like.
Don't feel you need a large backyard to make sure wildlife
visit. Even the balcony of a city apartment can become a
wildlife habitat, so long as there is enough food, shelter
and water for the animal and plants.
